Looking for someone different?

Dr Stephen F.. Myler is just not your usual psychologist, he is something more!

Who is he?

Stephen was educated in his early years in Australia until 15 years old when his family returned to his birth place in England. Since that time he has amazed many by going on to the Army and ace-ing his IQ scores and winning prizes for education. This also amazed him as his early teachers called him - just above average - but there are those in life who blossom later and Stephen was one of them. After the Army he married and started bring up a family (two girls) and re-educating himself by taking courses in journalism and finance. Late in his 20's he discovered psychology when working as an insurance branch manager where he was taught how to use psychometric tests for recruitments. Having become hooked on discovering peoples personalities he joined the Open University part-time and started to learn formally. It took six hard years to pass his BSc. in psychology, while working full time and bring up two daughters.

What next?

After his success at gaining his degree he wanted to continue with a Masters and maybe eventually at Doctorate. In England the cost was just too high. Luckily some investors who Stephen has helped gain a profit in the markets offered to sponsor him. So Stephen enrolled with Knightsbridge University in Denmark. Although a non-accredited in the EU a lot of Scandinavian establishments had a higher standard anyway. At the time this was for Stephen's own satisfaction and acheivement not realising later in a meritocractic world this would sometimes be challenged. There is no difference in the work required at either type of University - and so a few years later - we now have Dr. Stephen F. Myler.

Dr. Stephen - Today

In the years that followed Dr. Stephen now set up a counselling practice, establish several companies and went on to drive his own Rolls Royce car to his many businesses. However in the 90's Thatcherism economics failed the UK and sent the country into free-fall depression. Stephen lost his businesses when the UK Banks mis-managed the economy. At this point he decided to free himself of business and start to travel the World visiting many countries. After many adventures and daring times if accumulated in a book called, The Travelling Psychologist published in the USA. Later settling in China, Stephen went on to write the now classic text on China - The China Papers, his research into Chinese mental health. In 2017 Stephen published Joe the Pig. Dr Myler lives and works in Shanghai China.
